Shauna Shane's FentonRiver Studio and home is an old button factory located in historic Gurleyville, Storrs, CT. She has turned this sunny, open space into a destination garden by designing and building a Rock walled Koi pond nestled inside a perennial cottage garden with garden sculpture everywhere you look.

A fairie landscape in a rowboat, cement cast leaves, all manner of garden art and living garden sculpture attest to the creative spirit that resides here at FentonRiver.

Please join me on June 10 and 11 for An Art in the Garden Event. I would love to present my new works, inside and out. I trust that with safety measures described below you will enjoy visiting my studio to see...and experience...the artwork and joy resulting from my life, so lucky– creating beauty, and a bit of whimsy.

2023 Garden Casting Classes

Leaf Casting Saturdays, May through October (other times can be arranged)

10:00-1:00   Cast Cement Leaf or Hypertufa Forms

Sign up for either Leaf Casting or Building a Hypertufa Container. Classes begin with a full demonstration before we start getting our hands dirty together. Each student will have a finished piece to take home at the end of the class. Fee of $50.00 includes a 3-hour class, all supplies, and a worksheet to take home with all of the information from the class. Children under age 10 need to be supervised by an adult.

Sign up is required as spaces are limited but other times can be arranged by request. Classes are available most Saturday mornings May through October.
